— The Formats

Three of our most loved formats

A preview from the catalog — each format profiled with its actives, its texture and the skin it suits best.

White kaolin clay, the classic mineral clay mask ingredient 01 / Format The Weekly Reset

Clay

Kaolin & bentonite · mineral clays

The original ritual. Mineral clays drink up excess oil and leave skin matte, smooth and quietly rebalanced — the format entire skincare routines were once built around, and still deserve a fixed night in the week.

A green tea sheet mask applied to the face 02 / Format The Ten-Minute Ritual

Sheet

Hydrogel & cotton · single-use

The quiet overachiever: a pre-soaked sheet that seals a serum against the skin for ten unhurried minutes. No rinsing, no measuring, no mess — which is exactly why it became the most-traveled format in skincare.

A jar of rich pink night cream for overnight masks 03 / Format The Overnight Shift

Sleep

Leave-on formula · night repair

The mask that works while you don’t. Sleep masks are sealed-in moisturizers that spend the night compensating for everything the day took out — the closest thing skincare has to a printer running unattended.

— Our Standard

Why skin people trust our guide

We are a small team of weekly maskers, formulators-at-heart and label readers. This guide exists because good mask knowledge should be careful, generous and free.

01

Every format, skin-tested

Nothing enters these pages untried. Each format is worn by our team across real weeks — oily Tuesdays, dry winters, long flights — before it earns a description here.

02

Ingredients explained, plainly

Kaolin versus bentonite, hydrogel versus cotton, enzymes versus acids: we translate what the label means into plain language — what it does, how it feels, who it suits.

03

Written by weekly maskers

Our authors have masked through humidity, heating seasons and sensitive-skin years alike. Every note reflects skin in the real world: clocks, towels and hurried evenings included.

04

Education first, always

This site is a library, not a storefront. We describe formats informationally so anyone can understand their mask — before they shop anywhere at all.

Good skin is a habit wearing a disguise: ten quiet minutes, twice a week, and the mirror slowly starts agreeing with you.

— Mask Notes

From our mask journal

Short, practical entries from the bathroom shelf — the habits that keep the ritual honest and skin comfortable.

Application

The even-layer rule

Spread an even layer the width of a rice grain across clean, dry skin — thick enough to stay moist, thin enough to dry evenly. Bare patches are skipped work; globs are wasted product.

Timing

Ten minutes, never to a crack

A clay mask is done when it’s tacky, not when it’s cracked. Letting it dry to a shell pulls water from skin, not oil from pores — rinse at the first sign of tightness, however relaxing the wait.

Frequency

Twice a week, most weeks

Skin renews on its own calendar, roughly monthly. Two mask nights a week — one clarifying, one replenishing — is the rhythm our journal keeps returning to after years of experimenting.
